River Transport Ammo Capacity = 12?

Quick question: Is this WAD? Foote's flotilla out of St. Louis has a river transport with an ammo limit of 12 (though I can't seem to get more than 4 loaded). Supply limit is 120. It is the only river transport I have, so I don't have a comparator.

Icon confirms ammo loadout is 33% (4 of 12). And there are tons of ammo waiting on the docks beside me. Stable over multiple turns. v1.14c with quickfixes.

Thoughts? Ideas? Hints?

Much obliged, -D

Update: built another, confirmed 12 ammo maximum.

Ammo is only reloaded when docked in port. See the WIKI link below.

http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki/Supply
At the bottom is the following "Naval units can replenish general supply from any adjacent land region, but can only replenish ammunition in a port.
"

So you need to dock the boats.

Limit is still 12

Alas, the in-port transport is reading 12 of 12 at 100% full, with hundreds at the port depot. I have to interpret this as a hard limit to the ammo capacity. The conclusion I jump to is that a zero was dropped off of the intended 120. Is 120 the design?

Can anyone else confirm or contradict this effect with Union Missouri river transports in v1.14c (with quickfixes) on the April 1861 w/Kentucky scenario? I also find the same result with an Indiana river transport.

Many Thanks, -D

For River Transports...Supply limit is 30 per element. Ammo limit is 3 per element. i.e. 120 (30 x 4 elements) supply and 12 (3 x 4 elements) ammo.

edit> Considering ammo is made up of quite a bit of dense materials including iron shot in comparison to supply being relatively less dense materials, this makes sense.

I can see where Dae is coming from. Supply wagons and naval transports both carry equal amounts of supply/ammo when full and in supply. Naval transports also are comprised of only 2elements whereas the river transports have 4.
This has been the case since the beginning.

It could be a typo mistake i think (3 instead of 30) :bonk:
I guess river transports should be the same than the rest (naval, wagons) in ammo capacity. If not, their usefullness to supply land stacks with missing ammo is very limited.
Cheers!

Sure. One of the Phils should tell us about the original game intent. :)
I was just guessing, but don't know for sure :bonk:
