ME Units

Having exhausted the manpower supply of more strategically located states, I have recently started ordering units raised in ME. However, I never really get ME units. I get mostly MA and sometimes CT units showing up in Boston. In fact, I believe it also happened that I ordered MA and got CT, and vice versa, though I am not sure about that. (I do seem to recall it confused me to no end because I keep notes about the units I order to be raised and I never could account for the 8 CT 10-pounder batteries that appeared out of nowhere. :D ) But I am positive about ME, I never get ME units. Of course that's not a problem, other than for my bookkeeping, but what could be the reason?

Probably you'll find your answer on the 5th post here:

As a summary, if you check the ME brigades in the units folder, you'll see that their alias is CT, so they appear as CT brigades (and elements for artillery), because the unit belongs to CT.

All of New England is split between Danbury, CT and Boston, MA. Units from all NE states build in one of those provinces. As far as their names/designations, I am not sure if maybe there is a limited number of Maine unit names in the data?

Thank you, Gentlemen. I am certain that I did not understand what was being discussed in the thread Evren referenced, but I accept that this is the way it works, for some reason. At least I am not seeing things. :mdr:

Sorry, but you asked something so specific that i required an answer that specific ;) . In short, it has something to do with model and unit files the game is using (modding issues). I'm sure the developers don't have any personal problems with Maine :neener: .
