1.11a vs. 1.11d

Just finished a campaign as USA vs. AI in 1.11d, no mods. Much improved over 1.11a. Casualties in my 1.11a game were about 5-to-8 in my favor; casualties in my 1.11d game were about 4-to-5 in my favor--much closer.
Athena wasn't fixated on holding Henry/Donelson as she was in 1.11a (see my Athena Creates Verdun thread), and she did a better job of protecting important locations. In 1.11d, I managed to win in the summer of '63 via NM on the very turn that France and Great Britain declared war. Whew--dodged a bullet there. Foreign Intervention level stood at 81, so I thought I was safe, at least for several turns. But a cotton embargo kicked it right up to 100. Smarter Athena (or dumber me).
Still a few excessive casualty results, but not as many (subjective impression).
