Still on vacation, actually :D

(But now in more civilized parts of the world; who knew that Tuscany didn't have Internet; not the parts I was in, at least. Thankfully, Switzerland does not find itself in the Dark Ages... ;) )

No beach photos, but might I interest you in some photos from the swimming pool of the villa we rented outside San Gimignano? :D

Tuscany? :)

Good wine and landscape, some monuments but eh...rural areas are still in the middle ages. eheheheh

I have to admit that I've never been to any of the Baleares; in Scandinavia, they kinda have a bad ring for being very "touristy" in a not-too-good way ;)

I can heartily recommend Tuscany; lots of stuff to see and lots and lots of great food and wine :D

Heh, I can subscribe to that; our group of friends rented a decent-sized villa, that had its own swimming-pool, but no internet. I don't think it's possible to find a place in Norway that has a swimming-pool but no internet ;)

("Climate"? What do you mean by "climate"? :siffle: )

I only know Minorca. We went there a couple of summers ago and felt in love with it.
From what i heard Ibiza is too much discos and fashion to my liking, and Mallorca is too big and full of germans :siffle:
But Minorca is very nice and relaxed. :coeurs: Not to many tourists and hundredths of hidden little beaches to be mostly on your own. A little like the typical idea one have of a greek island... but on the other side of teh Mediterranean.
And this come from a guy who mostly don't like beach tourism :bonk:

By the way, Rafiki one my co workers is going on holidays to Norway this summer :tournepas Go figure!! :niark:
From what she says it's damn expensive for a Spaniard!

Regards!

U're right Palma is absolutely extraordinary, despite the fact we could never sleep by night due to the drunken Germans.

They came on the beach at 9 o clock with wagons of beer and stopped drinking only after passing away.

...i had to save a couple of girls from a drunk who was trying to open their door...he was so drunk he hadn't seen it wasn't his hotel room...every morning i found something...vomit on the aisles included...it was a mess but it's a damn lovely place...just stay clear of hotels if you go to Palma!

As of the internet missing, you can find slow DSL in Tuscany but in major towns there's optic fiber 10Mb...perhaps you could have looked for villas with sat connection. There's a lot of them...all for american tourists who are, like all of us probably, internet psychos :)

Well, Norway *is* a very nice place to vacation in, so I can't say I blame her for her choice :) Any idea what her plans are?

As for the prices; well, can't say I really blame her for that either, especially if she's planning on some heavy drinking while she is here. Non-alcohol prices aren't *that* bad ;)

Not too many tourists... still...

Menorca island is for me the best of all the baleares. Construction on the coast has been a little more controlled for a lot of years, there are reasons for this...

All of them are very beautiful to visit of course...

There is a small island called Formentera (south of Ibiza) with a beautiful beach on "2 sides" of the "road"
