This game was released sometime 1999 methinks and I'm one of the idiots who bought the game.

Has anyone else played this one?

Even though I've patched this one (there are still patches for it in the net) I can't get this game to work properly.

If anyone has managed to get it running like a train without any glitches (like my entire Austrian army disappearing suddenly) I'd be very happy for some pointers.

I used too to buy it. It was promissing but miss to acheive its goal. Too bad.
It never run correctly. I've, like you, the Austrian Army vanishing suddenly without any reasons.
I've play it three-four times before erasing it from my HD.

I also have the game but was never able to run it correctly...

There has been a fan-project with various patches so you might try that...

Yeah, I've been there, done that.

After I've installed those greenius patches....I could no longer save my games. Well, I could save them but the main program wouldn't recognise the save files anymore.
