I want my husband back!

Dear AGEOD,
Please quit making such cool games, ok? I bet I am not the only woman whos sitting and pouting on the couch, watching stupid reruns on TV while her husband busily refights a war that ended a long time ago. So I got tired of this, you know what I mean? Stupid me, I thoght that if I learn to play the stupid thing then we will have more togetherness. I was right but not like I thought. Now all we talk about is why I lost Richmond, :fleb: or why I lost New Orleans :fleb: , or how he let me surprise him with my horses, that he knew that I was going to pounce all along. (So far, the most important thing I have learned is that horses are good for pouncing. :dada :)

Do you have a book or something that I can read, so that I can beat him all the time, and make him shut up about why Vicksburg has to have a fort and stuf f like that? See, because hes a man, he has the ego. I think that if I win to much, he will shut up about your civil war game, and remember that there are other things in life besides beating me. But I like your maps.

Sincerely,
Aphrodite Mae :coeurs:

PS I will not buy any more of your games unless I start beating him.
PPS You need to have a "none of your business" option for birthday date.

I think that your picture is the cutest of all, Arsen! The little soldier I mean. I will talk with Dixiecrat and ask that he send you a picture of us if you like.

All of y'all are so sweet! :coeurs: Thank you for your kindness, gentlemen. Dixiecrat says that you are the kindest of all, Arsen. On this forum.

I expected to find grumpy old men that smell like stale cigars, kind of like Bill, except maybe less fat and with more hair. Dooya, where did you get Dixiecrat picture, and why are u using it as your ava-thingy? Instead, I find that everyone is just so sweet! :fleurs:

Where is the place to learn stuff about how to do this forum?

Aphrodite Mae

PS never mind, I found it

This must be a joke. We all know that a wife that will actually play a wargame with her husband does not exist. I mean that's just kooky talk. If you are who you say you are, I would advise you to just learn enough to intelligently discuss military matters with you husband and give him a challenge, yet almost always lose. After the very rare victory that you may feel you need to accomplish in order to maintain your own self-esteem, console him in whatever manner that you deem appropriate. Also, do you have any like minded girlfriends in the late 30's or early 40's age group? Welcome to the forums. :hat:

Nah, this is not Dixie-thingy, this is a picture from my younger days. However, after seeing it, most women wish that their husbands look like me.

Apart from that, welcome to the show, Lady.

I am sorry to say so sol invictus, but the desultory behavior you write about is the expectation of men, but not at all women. But I forgive you, even if you like cigars. Which I do not. And I apreciate your warm welcome.

I have the idea that there are not many women on this forum. Hmm. I will talk about this later.

Never have smoked Mae, but do take a drink regularly. You are correct, I don't think I have ever seen a lady grace our forums. You are like a breath of fresh air. :w00t:

I hate typing.

Gentlemen, to convince your girlfriend or wife to play complicated computer games is more simple than you know. There are 3 things to do:

first, you agree to go to a yardsale or shopping for cute shoes or something that she likes to do.
next, you agree to make a deal that you do two hours of something special that she choses if she takes one hour of her busy time to learn with you.
Each time that she yawns while learning your stupid game, you pop a chocolate in her mouth. It can be a small one, but it must taste wonderful.

Other ideas that have worked with me is to have my back rubbed while I am reading the stupid manual and trying to ask intelligent questions. When the yawning becomes almost incessant, and she is sleepily closing her eyes, then is the time to forget the game and do other things to make her less sleepy.

Some 1 said that I should let him win. Bullfoot. If I want revenge, I play him in chess. (I may be more of a tactician than I reveal.) Or maybe not. :innocent:

Dooya, in ur younger days you were quite dashing, I see. Maybe we can meet at some IP sometime for virtual coffee, ok? :sourcil: I like a handsome man with verve.

my fingers are tired from this.

Hello, who ever is in charge here...?
You need a pouty smiley thingy that looks like a girl. Pouting is an important weapon in getting ur way, for women. If I am going to visit here much, I will need appropriate tools 4 xpressing myself.

I like this a lot! I havent gotten so much attention since b4 I bought Dixiecrat the stupid game! C'mon, gentlemen... everybody make him jealous so that he will pamper me!

so there, Bill! :fleb:

Toodaloo, gentlemen, I must go get my young'uns from school.

How's this?

I usually save the girly hoarse pouting for when my manly horse pouncing backfires. The hoarseness is from all those cigars.

Welcome to the forums.
