Almost ready to start playing this one but wanted to ask some of you folks that have put some time in already ... which faction do you think is best for a Infra / trading / economic / diplomacy approach ?

Looking at existing feedback, it seems that it's a bloody / active affair for pretty much everyone - but are there any where the elements above are better than the majority of other states?

Perhaps Carthage?

Carthage is good as you gain from avoiding wars, so you need some but they are localised and mostly very early in the game.

Dacia is good if you are prepared to wait, but you are very isolated. Once you have built up its a potentially very powerful faction.

Egypt is not bad, in the main the other major powers will leave you alone

India only has one border, but to gain much you do need to engage in a lot of wars

Saba is good if very isolated

For a balanced but not too military game, go for Egypt would be my advice

Rhodes and Hibernia are very peaceful, but a lot of patience is required.

For both, it is essential to take enough regions to create your Home Province.

Dacia is closest to my PON country of Russia, so I think I'll give that one a whirl first.

And then try the others in time.
