Restoring Session

Dear Friends,
This game is proving to be something like a great wine- gorgeous, eminently enjoyable, and I keep coming back to it! Please pardon my inexperience, but I mistakenly deleted one of my saves (just clicked the wrong button when trying to take a game back a turn or two). I see the deleted files in my Windows recycle bin, and tried to copy/past them to the "Saves" folder in WoS. That, however, does not seem to bring it back, except in a scrambled and unplayable form. Is there any way I can restore it? Any advice would be appreciated!
