Critical error again and 2 GB main log ...

Had Critical error again ... 3rd time. Game is installed outside of program files in c: /Ageod / ECW
Playing as Administrator.
Not really doing anything but scrolling when it CTD.
Also main log is huge...over 2GB now. Something seems wrong.
Really enjoying the game but have put it on hold until the main log thing is figured out.

Not being an expert, but also having seen crashes when scrolling, I have found two causes:
1. Not allocating enough memory to graphic or leaving winter graphics on.
2. Not having updated DirectX
I have not had crashes, so some hope for you.

I play on a really low spec laptop machine with 1.7 ghz and HD graphics and it works fine when I turn Windows Defender off. This makes it scroll OK. So I do this and turn Windows Defender back on when I want to go back to the internet etc.
There's a thread else where about this and you can make the ECW.exe an exception which is a better longer term solution.
I'm enjoying the game.
