The installation path used by that patch was somewhat chaotic. The patch tried to install itself somewhere a bit odd, and when I eventually figured out where to send it I still managed to drop it into the wrong place.
I think it's in the right place now because when I fire up the game 1.02RC shows up in the corner, but that was certainly something I shouldn't have attempted without coffee.
You might want to revisit where the installation folder tries to drop things.
Apart from that, I'm thrilled that you're working on this. Many thanks.

There's a problem with the swedish intervention scenario. CTD immediately after launch while the scenario is loading. It does not happen with other scenarios.

Hello Miguel.
I have updated my game and restart a great campaign as catholic with this new version.
Something is wrong : I can't buy infantry replacements for the catholics. They don't appear in the list of the replacements.
When I use the RGD that gives a mercenary infantry regiment, I get a cuirassier regiment.
When I use the military option that gives a croat light cavalry regiment, I get another heavy cavalry unit.
The La-Motte regiment is also depicted as a heavy siege mortar unit.
Best regards.

In my test i have seen that everything works ok with the exception of thw RGD for Cuirassier and Arqubussier that seems doing each of them the effect of the other.
Anyone is haveing the same issues of Gribeauval?
try deleting the cached files in models and units folder, may that could help.

Hi, Miguel. I don't know how to delete the cached files in these 2 folders.
(I don't know how to find these cached files first)
Regards.

Hi liebstandarte, I have just started a pbem with the new patch with Durk, is there any chance of a hotfix for the mixed up RGD's?
Oh and regarding Gribeauvals post, in my game you can buy HRE infantry replacements, but in the Brandenburg tab you can only build cavalry and arty replacements.... I have not played in a while so I cant remember if that is WAD or not.
Cheers

No Highlandcharge, but it doesnt seem to be very important if is that the only thing wrong, i will fix it anyway

Gribeauval, go to the GameData Folder, and the to the Models and Units folders.
After deleting them run the game.

Miguel, I have deleted the Units folder and Models folder in Gamedata.
But it doesn't solve the problem : I can't buy infantry replacements for the catholic side.
I can find : cavalry replacements, heavy cavalry replacements, light artillery, field artillery, heavy artillery and supply replacements, but no infantry chits.
I'm sorry.

I can confirm that after applying the update, there are no Catholic units available to build when starting a new Grand Campaign. And I did delete the Units and Models *.cfg files before installing the update (always a good habit when patching AGEOD games).

At the start of the GC there are no available units to buy, thats WAD.
The issue of Gribeauval is different, and strange.
Please Gribeauval try installing a new game and after that the patch.

I have uninstalled the game, reinstalled the game and I get the same issue : no replacement chits for HRE infantry in the great campaign.
I 'm not sure, but I believe that in the previous version, there were only 2 type of replacements for artillery ( "normal" and heavy). Now there are 3 kind of artillery replacements (light/medium/heavy).
Could there not be an error here ?
Regards.

I have opened an old grand campaign started with the previous version 101 (it was not deleted when I uninstalled the game and it was turn 86). The infantry replacement chits appear for the Holy Roman Empire.
But there were only two kinds of artillery replacements for the HRE in the version 101.
Now, there are 3 kinds of artillery replacements for the HRE (light, medium and heavy) (and no infantry ).
I must add that the swedish campaign can't be opened with version 102 : I get an error message.
Regards.

An old saved game?
Old games wont run sorry.
I've reinstalled from DVD and started a Swedish Intervention with both sides and there is no issue.
and a GC with the Empire, open F2 to buy replacements.
No issue here.

So i cant reproduce what you say, and worse, i cant understand it.
Just to know if there is someone playing without any issue, because i have just one in my installation, the one regarding the RGDs commented.

I'm sorry Miguel.
I don't see what you see. I have three artillery classes.
I have reopened the grand campaign.
When I pass the mouse on the different units of the Bucquoy's army, I see Bucquoy, Dampierre and then 4 infantry units that are described as cuirassiers (in the tooltip), then Gauchier(cavalry) that is is described as a 24 lb artillery, then Dampierre (cavalry) that is described as 48 lb artillery, then the imperial artillery that is described as Bucquoy.
I get this mistake only if I start a new campaign. In an old game started with a previous patch, things are OK.

Check the date of your scen files, it seem like you have not installed correctly the patch. The issue you have is common when the scen and the models and units folder or aliases file are not from the same version.
All the scen files should be from the 10th of January except the GC that is from the 22th of January.

I mean only to delete the cached files. Maybe the issue is there.
Enclosed the correct models and units folder. Delete your model and units folder and copy these instead.

Miguel, I have the correct dates for the scenarios.
I have deleted model and unit folders in gamedata folder. I have unzipped the two new one.
The issue is still here. Nothing is changed.

Are you aware that the number of the model and the number of the unit are not the same in the 2 files that I have downloaded ? For instance, 172 doesn't refere to the same type of thing : BRAsupply and HREinf.

Just tried to delete then reinstall everything with patch 1.02rc and the same error occurs with swedish intervention.
I also don't see infantry chit for the catholic side in the grand campaign.

Yes, but thats ok.
Let me try to understand what happens here. This not a one man issue clearly.

Sorry I wasn't clearer.
I have no saved games at the moment. That was a new game that wasn't working.
What I haven't done is uninstall, reinstall, and apply the RC patch.
If I do that, should I apply the RC patch directly over the initial install ?
And is it possible that you have something in your computer that makes the scenario work that isn't in the patch ? It's very easy for that to happen, and it's the bane of my existence when I'm releasing mods (you think the modded version has something in it because it's showing up on your computer).
And for the record, I'm running the game on a reasonably new computer with Windows 7 Professional (64 bit).
(And this is why it's called a Release Candidate).
