Expansions?

I'm really liking TYW and I notice that the Strategic Map is much larger than the current playable area. Does that mean that future expansions are planned and, if so, what might they include? (The English Civil War, although not part of the Thirty Years War, took place during this time period...) :D

And maybe even the Russian Time of Troubles of early 1600s, with the Polish invasion and peasant uprisings? Oh that would be beyond awesome :)

How about the opening of the Dutch provinces for the final phase of the wars of liberation? It would tie in perfectly with the 30 Years war since the major Spanish preoccupation with the 'Spanish Road' is what kept them looking over their shoulders to Germany. Also we may get some ships for the Catholics as well (Spanish fleet and the Dunkirkers which Wallenstein wanted to bring even in the Baltic).

It is also possible an eansion in the Mediteraneum Area with Italian Wars oe Lepanto Campaigns.
It is a good idea....

I suppose it doesn't make much sense to expand a title called Thirty Years War with scenarios that weren't actually part of that war. But there were quite a few interesting conflicts in the north during the 1600s and early 1700s such as the Second Northern War (1655-1660).

I want to see a mod based on Eric Flint's "Ring of Fire" novels... alternative history beginning in 1632. Reading these novels is what got me all fired up to buy The Thirty Year's War game and to learn more about the period. There is a huge fan base out there that would probably jump right into this game with such a mod, if marketed to them.

Do a search for Eric Flint "Ring of Fire" to find the links. I'm not allowed to post URL's yet on this forum.
