as the French I noticed that Berlin was missing from my objectives list.
I would like to see peace treaties more like those in Total War games, where you get to ask for things as the winner , not the take it or leave it peace deals in this game.
I would also like a key to push which would remove all units from the map, sometimes its hard to see if a target is breeched with several units there.

I believe that diplomacy is where this game could really be developed and go from excellent to a master piece. Being able to create specific war goals and then make custom peace deals would be fantastic. I would also like to see a more "sand box" approach to alliances rather than the inflexible approach that currently exists. It should be possible to create "alternative" histories where France, for example, can ally with countries by cutting deals with them. If France offers Prussia some territory in Northern Europe (like Hannover) then maybe Prussia stays neutral or they can form a "defensive alliance". These options would be wonderful to have.
Maybe release a "Diplomacy" DLC that creates this more sophisticated sand box approach to rewriting history. I would pay extra for that as I know it would take more investment of time from the developers.

If I had to choose either or, gun to my head, no alternative between ageod diplomacy and total war I would choose ageod every time. I like that there are constraints and you have to work for it and you can't willy nilly war on anyone.
I would just like some more flavor and flexibility to what exists, some reasonable political bargaining that allows what was historically possible, not for free for all sandbox

Me too. I don't want historically implausible outcomes (Bavaria conquers Europe!). But especially when playing multi-player it would be great to have more flexibility for negotiating and bargaining with the other major powers. Napoleon was very good at this sort of expedient diplomacy... although eventually it left him with no allies. Currently i feel that my hands are tied to certain events firing. I would like more a sense of being master of my destiny than being rail-roaded into historical alliances. More flexibility when making peace deals would be very welcome... the number of regions... the length of the peace etc... moderated by war score. There could even be two game modes. A strict historical track and a more open "what if" approach. These could be selected from the options menu at the start of the game.

We will probably end up improving on diplomacy, either with more options in peace (generic peace) or with special peace treaties (scripted peace) but you understand we must first work on any bugs people might encounter before doing this improvement work.
