They suffer a game ending defeat?! What!

Somehow, WoN applied French game conditions to the British. The British even suffered the negative French endgame events. Victory points plummeted. There is a serious issue here.

This was previously fixed a year ago or so. Replace one the French event file by the one enclosed (copy paste the one here inside the events folder)

That would be weird and bothersome if it applied to the current patch. What was the version of your game, when you started it? When you had this bad turn of event?

I continued an older save when I had this issue. I'm not sure the exact version when I started. The time stamp was after the latest major patch. So, I felt secure with continuing. Mark this down as a problem, from the older save, unless someone can replicate on the newest version. I hadn't even heard about this. Otherwise, I would have started fresh to be careful. If I encounter anything serious in a new game, I'll let you know. Thanks, for the help.
