Use F11 / F12 keys. Someone did not have a clean install when the game started. Too late to fix, but the buttons should work.

restart the game and don't open a scenario, only your campaign.

Thanks for the reply. We are using F keys - only play PBEM and campaign. Have 14 players with the problem.

Its about time consumers of these games get to be treated fairly instead of being test players. A lot of time is being invested by people and I dont think AGEOD is doing enough to ensure that products come up to standard. The Napoleonic PC Version of EiA saga was a case where the long term view of players getting a decent product to enjoy.
As a member of the group from The Generals HQ, players group we are disappointed with the result so far. Its not fair for people to invest there time, in a game to have restarts all the time. Anyhow that's my 2 cents worth

It is very disappointing to have this problem show up only about 24 turns into the game. Our host reloaded the game an all the patches only to find that four of the buttons in the upper left have disappeared when loading our game. I remember very well playing EIA and having the bugs get progressively worse as the game went on until finally the game could not continue. This is beginning to look like deja vu.

I have trodden that path...
Had to leave a TCGHQ pbem some years ago as I just wasn't receiving info. Had the disc and re/installed many times.
Isn't it frustrating

I understand your frustration. Mine is about this specific part of the engine that I checked time and time again, and I could not see how on earth some keys become locked in the grand campaign (that they are in some scenarios is normal, some functionalities are disabled on purpose).
So, to be pragmatic and efficient, the code has been disabled for now on for the next beta patch.
