I do have a question...France Grand Campaign-Jan.
Current date: Sept 22, 1805
Fighting Austria (And England), after having knocked Sicily/Russia out of the 3rd Coalition. Warscore 189, Casualties around 188K.

When it offers a peace for $357 for 16 years, I don't reply.
When I offer a treaty, there's no option for gain territories.
Do I need to cause more damage, or is there something I'm missing?

Conditions:
Spain has no treaty with Portugal. Relation is +10.
Spain has a Peace Treaty with Britain (duration 3 turns). Relation is -47.
Spain has a Peace Treaty with France.
Spain’s Available Treaties with Portugal are only State Visit, Supply Rights and Passage Rights.
Portugal belongs to Coalition.
How to:
Spain wishes to DOW Spain.
Questions:
1- What prevents Spain to DOW Portugal?
2- What has to be done to be allow DOW?
3- What effect does Coalition membership have on Available Treaties?
4- What effect do Peace Treaties have on Available Treaties?

1. To DOW a country you need a cause, i.e a CB.
2. If there is no tension because of a disputed region (based on loyalty), then either you forge a CB (costly and long) or reduce relationships to the minimum level possible so that a border tensions CB appears (1% chance per turn). Or you ally with someone that might be at war with Portugal after some time.
3. Except it supercede normal alliance, nothing more.
4. If you become at peace with a country, then there was no other possible treaty between you and him, as you were at war. With peace comes a free passage and supply from the defeated to the victor.
