Have anyone experience with sieges of Major cities?
In our PBEM game (7 Players) GB is laying siege of Amsterdam for 5 turns and is blocking the harbor. 10 breaches were inflicted with some minor hits but nothing else happened so far.
What factors will a Major City to surrender? Is it worth to assault or wait?

Sieges is what you do if you don't have enough troops to assault the city. My rule of thumb is assault the city if you have 2x the power factor. Sieges take a long time reducing an enemy by 1 or 2 hits per turn while assaulting can take the city in one turn.

They probably still have supplies. You sound like you are doing everything right, but as long as they have supplies, which should eventually run out, there is a 90% chance they will not surrender: Siege_combat

Since the defenses should be completely breached--tool-tip on the siege icon will tell you this--, you can either assault, or wait longer until their supplies run out, when they definitely will surrender, or wait for the luck of the dice.
