i restarted with the 2/17 patch, an d most problems solved. have interesting game going - first invasion of ireland was defeated by english - trying again in 1811. having great time in spain the ai doing a pretty good job of tying me down.
the one correction that needs to be done is the french spanish algorithm. my bro keeps on being at war with me and very low scores in diplomacy. so he will have madrid - then lose it to the spanish - i will take it back - reverts to french spain. he goes to war on me - and loses madrid to spanish etc etc etc. somethng off here - but aside from that everything else minor and worked around.

Don't you see all the small arti and supply Units wandering around all over the map, or spawning somewhere?

Wandering units not bad. Some are captured units. The actual wandering seems lots less as the game goes on.
