Another good question would be, why artillery batteries retain it´s nationality after capture? Do they fire in german?
Unit nationality in Ageod games has always been a big mistery to me, I like the idea of it being there, but it´s kind of inconsistent in it´s implementation or at least I can´t find the pattern to figure it out without try and error
Also, I think since at least the last beta patch you can use russian batteries with some french generals for some reason...

I agree that artillery batteries shouldn't have the nationality restriction.

You probably should not capture artillery batteries, should get war supply when you capture them.

This point was already discussed and raised many times in the past. Working WAD now... your usage of captured artillery should be like the historical one:
* dump them somewhere as city garrison artillery
* take them home and disband them, you get the cost as a refund in money and WSU

They shouldn't. When he was still First Council, Napoleon replaced the 4pdr that were attached to the battalions with the 6pdr. Where did they come from? All the Austrian and Prussian guns captured between 1794 and 1800. (Chandler, "Campaigns of Napoleon page 360.")
But then again, maybe things changed in 1805?

Or you can find a multi-national commander. Foreign artillery will combine in with that trait.

I am not sure, so lets say that in a perspective of playing fair and historical, I would do that home (many captured guns where taken home, melted and transformed into something else...like the Russian and Austrian guns seized at Austerlitz are now inside the Colonne Vendôme in Paris

)

Maybe a quick fix: Give all of the artillery commanders the "Multi-National Command" tag.

It could be exploited too easily, those leaders could be used to form multipurpose divisions with many different forces etc.
I personnally don't think it's a big deal that captured artillery becomes "corps artillery", ie not integrated in a div. It's not that big a deal really.
