Tried installing the.2 patch, didn't work and ended up corrupting the game, reinstalled and I am waiting. Is there going to be a zip install .2 patch, with out all the extra add on patches for it, soon, or do I wait till next month?

That's a public beta patch with custom installer, zip would be less practical. Be sure to target the proper directory and then the patch will do the rest.
