Prussia at the begining of the Campaign

I find that Prussia tends to destabilise the initial phase of the game with its invasion of southern Germany. They tend to cut up Bavaria and Wurttemburg, thus cutting French supplies as they go into Austria. Frankly, I'm not sure that Prussia at that point in time had any ambition in that direction, but was rather fixated with Russia and Northern Germany. Its also ironic that it attacks a French ally which forces the French to either ignore Bavaria and loose its supply line to for its invasion of Austria or else declare war on Prussia way too early. Is it possible to redirect Prussia's attention elsewhere?

Another thing that I find really weird is that the coalition tends to spread it forces in penny packets all over S Germany, making them vulnerable to French attack.

One way to do so without forcing the hand of the AI is to increase the interest value of VP sites in the North...but you can't blame the AI to do something smart.

The real issue here is rather the "too early" intervention of Prussia in the war...which might be solved in the first patch

Thanks. Indeed, historically, one of the factors that helped Napoleon is that he managed to split his enemies repeatedly, something which is often overlooked by most people who look only at his battlefield victories.

Maybe there is a need to make the French alliance a bit more powerful in the sense that anyone who attacks a French ally incurs the wrath of France immediately thus making it difficult for other states to prey upon smaller states which are in the French orbit.
