One of the keys of such a game is to have a great map. We are now progressing and the map is almost complete. To give you some hints, we will use a base close to that of the 'Larger Europe Map' (another thread on this forum).
Among novelties, some extra OMBs will be added, to represent some far-away conflicts such as the La Plata operations of 1806-1807 or some battle in the heart of the Indian subcontinent.

One thing that could prove useful is a map showing the major roads of Europe and Middle-East at the time. If anyone has sources on that, let me know...

I've not come across across a "master map" of roads, but I think your best chance is look at campaign maps and try and piece it together. Esposito and Elting's A Military History and Atlas of the Napoleonic Wars is still the best source that I know of for campaign maps, though something like Chandler's Campaigns of Napoleon would be necessary to give proper context. West Point did a similar atlas too but I ended up donating it as the printing was poor quality and had less detail than Esposito/Elting.

So will all the campaigns be on the same map in game?

EDIT: I just rememberd the name of a French 19th century atlas I was trying to think of: Thiers! It's public domain and available online, and it seems just the sort of thing you're looking for. The first one covers the Directoire period along with some great general maps of France (http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/bpt6k209323m) and the second covers the Consulate and Empire. This map is no longer accurate as it has been improved with Napoleon. Will post a new one soon. In the meanwhile, the old Atlas of Monsieur Thiers can prove invaluable. Thanks
