Anyone has any idea how to patch the steam version of the game? I have download the patch but it asks for CD key upon initiation. I dont have any key available, not on Steam (no option for "CD Key" in library page). Any idea where to find it or how to not use the key....?

The real problem is that the Steam version not upgrade. Same as Rise of Prussia Gold.

And steam version no key, so I cannot post or read anything in MatrixGames or Slitherine' forum.

I can confirm this. THE STEAM VERSION IS STILL 1.00, IT IS NOT UPDATING TO 1.01.

Ummm....So I will be stuck till eternity with 1.00?

'Fraid I disagree Lance.
So far I have not updated my EAW game via anything else BUT steam and I can firmly state that I have been updated to the 1.01.

I'm not sure if the recent post (yesterdays) on http://www.ageod.com/news/1556/To.End.All.Wars.gets.its.first.major.patch is a new patch, but I doubt it, as the changelog appears nearly identical.

I'm glad it is working now. Because just earlier today Steam wasn't updating, I tried launching it twice through Steam and all I got was 1.00. BaiCaiX had the same problem. Of course I have no way to check if it working now since I've done it manually... Hopefully it's working now for everyone. Is Steam based in the USA? Maybe the time difference explains why it is working now, when it wasn't earlier. Anyway, back to planning my next moves... look out Austria the Russians are coming... and I have to find a way to stop them!!

I think I may be able to help, as far as my tech savvyiness goes (not that far :-P)

Go to your steam library, right click EAW, hit properties in the drop down menu, open the local files tab in the new window that opened up, the click the verify integrity of the game cache button.
It will quickly check the system and update.

This may be a dummy move you've already tried, but that's what I do to make sure my games are up to date, and it started the update for TEAW even after having played it without upgrading.
My apologies if you've already done that, I'm afraid that's the limit of what I know to do.

Tried twice, kept saying it had failed to get a file.

You can download the patch from the AGEOD product website and install it yourself in the steamapps/common etc... file location for TEAW. That is what I had to do because my game wasn't updating to 1.01 on Steam either.

Steam still isn't updating to the new version for me...

We will fix the issue as soon as possible, sorry for the trouble gents!
