There's something wrong with my broom

I've had a Minesweeper fleet with the setup strength of two units sitting on an enemy minefield for three months - result zero. Can't find any command that I might have missed (in fact none of them appear relevant at all) and can't even find a reference to the beasties in the manual. Are minesweepers an unimplemented feature, and if they are what the devil am I meant to do with enemy minefields? And if they're not, what the devil am I meant to be doing that I'm not.

I've got this this question also (way down on my list of many questions) so I'll be following this thread also!

Minesweepers won't remove the mines, but having them in the fleet will mitigate some of the damage sustained moving through the minefield.

Thanks for that, Altaris. Wholly unrealistic in terms of how such vessels were actually used, but at least it identifies an in-game use for them. C'mon home boys.
