Hey guys, just a heads up, I've posted to the Mod forum some info on a mod I've been working on for a while now to enhance certain features of EAW. It's primarily designed with the idea of being a hardcore version of the game, implementing a lot of the features you guys have asked for. At this time, it's focus is PBEM play, one of the big things in it is the ability to play each major nation independently.

Check out the mod post for more information. I'm working hard today to get the first beta version available before I go out of town for the 4th of July. If not, it'll be up shortly next week. There's a lot of really cool stuff in here, really pushes the limits of what the AGEOD engine is capable of and makes for a very fresh version of the game.

Each major nation independently?! Gasp!

Interesting and looks very promising!
So each nation has it's own turn file now or how does it work exactly?.

It'd be great for a MP this summer. I'll spread the word in my usual Spanish forums.

It's one host file, but each nation posts its own orders. You play each nation as its own faction (so, for example, Great Britain can see what France has on the field, since they are allies, but cannot directly control them). Each nation also has its own resources, build pools, etc. as well, so things like Austria-Hungary and Ottoman Empire having access to German money and WSU is no longer an issue.

To forum administrators... wouldn't it be better to have a Mod section in To End All Wars Forum, instead of in the general section?
