Ok so looking to do a Adriatic landing with the Allies. How bad are mines. Landing with a large fleet. Just loose some org for every ship?

Are you going to have minesweepers in your fleet? If so, not so bad.

Are there any ocean going mine sweepers? Can you bring costal ones? I was looking to do a landing at Split. Oh another question. Can or should one assault on the landing turn or wait till the next turn. Thanks guys.

Your French and Italian minesweepers can make the journey.
Determining the offensive stance is challenging for an amphibious landing. If you lose an assault and are forced to retreat, you might lose the entire force. On the other hand, this is the only turn for surprise. If you think you are strong enough to win, red posture. Otherwise, blue.
Oh, a landing has all the penalties of crossing a major river.

I recall that originally minesweepers had no effect on mines, has that been changed in the meantime?

Also I thought they were costal. How does one get to the Adriatic with just coastal mine ships? Can I just travel the high seas in the Med?
Thanks

Well, I am not always an accurate observer. But they seem to clear mines for me and the hop from Italy to the eastern Adriatic is not high seas.

Italy is neutral in our game. I will see if I can place them in the open sea hexes. Thanks
