Great link there are many very good photographs, I was especially impressed by the quality! Bookmarked

I discovered that I really like to watch real color photographies from the WW1 years (not recolored movies though they are horrible!) it is always strange how life like they are, often better than contemporay photos. Here are some good examples http://worldwaronecolorphotos.com/
As more and more color images have resurfaced in the last years, not long ago I thought there were all French but there are Russian http://blogs.denverpost.com/captured/2009/10/21/color-photography-from-russian-in-the-early-1900s/544/ and some German by Hans Hildenbrand https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.280279928704669.71282.228990443833618&type=3
.. the first thing I notice is that all machines, buildings and cars etc looked new not ancient like in the movies ;)

These are aleays good to look at, I've got the first 3 volumes on my book shelf. Just change the number up to 10 for all volumes.
Pictures are good, text is as it was at the time......

Brilliant, thanks Ebbingford.

Here is a link to the British newspaper archive. You have to pay but it now covers the first world war period.
