Bug or WAD?

It is autumn of 1914 and Hindenburg was supposedly promoted to command in the East, yet he is nowhere to be seen. Now 8th Army is without a general and has ceased to be an army afaik. Will Hindenburg appear at a later date or is this a bug. Kronprinz und Prinz plans respectively.

didn't see him...
started a game with same settings, didn't see him at all from the start.

So when I started the game choosing the warplans you mentioned, hindenburg took over command of 8th army.
i hadn't moved 8th army from konigsberg like you had, so not sure if that makes a difference. The event fired early sept 14 for me.

I started a new game. Same warplans. Moved 8th army from Konigsberg and Hndenburg arrived. Guess it was a bug. Hope they'll identify it from the save game and fix it.
