Sort by Commander Stats - Criteria Unknown

If I sort by commander stats, ascenting or descenting, what is the criteria by EAW then?
I can not see anything here. There are certainly not the general stars. :confused:

This is an aggregated value that sums up the 3 commanders stats with a slight bonus if you are high ranked.
