Helping to build up some anticipation.

There's about one month as of posting before the game is scheduled to be released. I'd really like to hear more about this game, see some screenshots, read some Developer's Diaries, and especially read a Beta AAR.

I'm still buying Day 1 regardless ;)

No kidding. This "launch" feels more like a leak.

It's definitely a bit worrying, the lack of promo... Should we start reading into it?

The game is in good progress. It is currently beta tested and scheduled for its announced release date. The reason you might feel there is little new info is because it's mid summer in Europe and our hard-working lead developers deserve some vacation too. Rest assured they are returning for the final QA sprint and we will all have a greatly polished title. In my humble opinion, this is probably the best AGEOD title up until now.

(excluding PON which I am virtually married to... :p )

Regarding the anticipation, I can only provide a certain hint: read about what went wrong in the opening moves of the conflict. These details shall be thoroughly abstracted in the game. As a player you need to make sure you don't make the same historical mistakes. ;)

Oh, you Europeans and the workers paradise you live in. Back to work! (says the disgruntled American who gets little vacation ;) )

"The best Ageod title up til now" -- wow, that is music to my ears.

Can't wait for this.

Will there be an intervention percentage like in ACW II where the U.S. And/or some other countries will join the war after a threshold is reached?

Also has it beened determined what the playable factions for the grand-campaign will be?

There will be 3 playable factions. Diplomacy will be more complex than in cw2, but still simple and easy to grasp. Every country has a percentage opinion which side it prefers. Their opinion can be influenced with decisions and events. So, to answer your question, US can be brought into war, but not too early. Aggressive diplomacy and the scale of German submarine warfare can influence this a lot.

Three playable factions? So I'm guessing the player will play as an alliance rather than an individual country. So that would be the Entente, the Central Powers, and one I have no idea of.

Western Entente (French, UK and more allies as the war goes on)
Eastern Entente (Russia, Serbia, later Romania if they join them)
Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary and any ally they bring later into the war)

I'm no politician, but I would like to withdraw their vacation so they could finish the game before schedule

2 weeks to go! Looking forward to it. One question...does anyone know if it will be available on Steam at launch?
