The message panel refers to Covington, VA as "Fort Jones". Odd ... never recall seeing that before. There is no Fort Jones, that I am aware of in that vicinity.

It is referring to the individual unit that was trained, not the location. As you have found, some unit names cause confusion. If you look through the force you should find an element named 'Fort Jones'.

A bit off topic but... Some unit names are a bit weird. The best named unit in the entire game is the artillery regiment stationed in Fort Lookout, named 'Lookout Artillery'.

That's it ... not in Floyd's division, though. It is actually a auto-spawned garrison unit created when that Union force entered the area. Those 2 forces have been staring each other down for so long now that the auto-garrison actually got trained! They are "Fort Jones." Aptly named, apparently!
