Issues with Unit Name duplicates and unit tech upgrades

I think these issues have been brought up, but I wanted to post to see if there has been any progress.

I've noticed that when recruiting standa-alone sharpshooter, zouaves, and cavalry regiments and brigades with integrated regiments of the same type, the same name can be given to two regiments (the standalone zouaves and the integrated zoaves, here). It sometimes depends on the order of the recruiting. I've posted a screenshot of this here (http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?35029-Zouave-Unit-names&p=311226&viewfull=1#post311226).

Also, integrated regiments are usually stronger than their standalone counterparts, as they are the late game version of the model. Changing this seems to alter but not fix the duplicate names issue. I also noticed in the database that standalone cavalry have $famLeader|1 in the FamilyType0 column, but not sharpshooters and zouaves. Changing this also seems to alter but not fix the duplicate names issue.

Integrated artillery is assigned the nation tag, "CMN", and this can be seen when reading the regiment details in game, clicking on the regiment on the bottom right screen when the regiment's division or brigade is selected in the stack. I'm not sure if this is relate to the issue that integrated 6lbers don't seem to upgrade to 12lbers. Since standalone artillery keeps the correct nation, it avoids the duplicate names issue - integrated artillery always just have default names.

Also, upgrades controlled by the "various events" event script include USA and CSA but not CMN. Since standalone artillery uses USA or CSA artillery and not CMN, I don't really see why CMN artillery exists, but if CMN artillery is to upgrade, CMN upgrade events will need to be added to the "various events" event script.

CMN artillery exists so it can be captured and used by the other side. In AACW, if you captured enemy artillery, it never got any replacements, and so got weaker and weaker over time until it disappeared completely. A lot of us didn't like that feature, so artillery was made common so it could be captured and gain replacements.

There are actually 2 CMN models (for 6lbrs anyway) an 8 tube and a 12 tube model ie a CSA double battery and a USA double battery so I think it would be possible to have specific upgrades for each of them and give them names.
Actually should all the artillery be based on the CMN model? presumably capturing a non integrated artillery unit will still act as Jim describes.

Jim mentioned that about CMN elsewhere, and I don't know what I was thinking when I said it wasn't. He's completely right. Both integrated and standalone artillery are CMN.

I guess what I wanted to say was that the various events DB file seems to provide for CSA and USA artillery upgrades, but not for CMN artillery upgrades, which seems odd.

The stand alone Art units still use the CSA/USA models.

Really? Now I'm confused. In the units DB in the models column it seems like the artillery units are CMN, right?
