More stats would be nice

First of all, I like the game. Yes there are some minor issues but I like your speed and determination in solving these problems.
I bought the boxed version (which arrived today) but luckily there was also a downloadable version so I could start playing.
I liked BOA and the first Civil War game too.

I would like to see some more stats, and maybe hear if other players miss more stats. This helps to emerge.
- how many troops of type x where destroyed, where captured
- same for ships
- killed, wounded or captured by state
- what state delivers most troops, guns, ships
- casualties by state
- total active troops, again by type
- bloodiest battles top 10
- biggest battle won / lost
- generals killed
- maybe per general the battles he has fought ?

Anyway, thanks for a great game !

I agree I'm a big stat man. I think the post battle screen is a little anticlimactic. I used to play an old dos game "Gettysburg the turning point" by SSI. The stats were pretty realistic and seemed to immerse you more into the outcome.. Killed, MIA, wounded, cannons captured/detroyed and calvary losses.

Overall great game!

I noticed the Union marching some divisions in the wild and it seems like they are losing quite a number of men.
If in history, these casualties (attrition, illness, ...) where also counted, they should also be counted in the game, and it doesn't
look like they are.
If my enemy marches divisions into oblivion, it's a good thing for me, as these men are going to have to be replaced as well.
Some insight into these losses would be handy.

Being able to know how many elements of each major class you are fielding would be helpful in determining how many replacements to stockpile.

You can deduce those to a reasonable degree of accuracy from the UI. Recruiting tells you how many on the field of a particular instance. Very cumbersome to determine all types and the elements thereof, yes, but it can be done.

What you mention is the info AACW gave on the Replacements tab.

Since we can switch sides and peak up Athena's skirt, (n'est-ce pas?) ( :) ), this could help in diagnosing what she might want to do differently. In my game, Athena was building just about everything that had a sail while Washington's defenses were less than impressive.

You would probably keep this stupid smile of your even if I spanked you, right?

Would that be an artificial spanking?

Dang, she is on to us, now we are going to have to keep our little AI exploits to ourselves.

Athena, my wife says you are my free pass (hers is the Zappo's shoe recommender; he really understands her needs). I plan on coming up to DC sometime in mid 1862, wanna get together for a drink? I hear your interest in nerdy wargamers is set to high....

Hopefully we can meet soon, I am afraid you will be out of my league after the next patch.
