Hello,

I recently purchased Civil War II on Steam. I'm about to start a PBEM game and I have some questions related with the patches and how they are applied on Steam.

-It seems that Steam updates automatically the game... but what if I start a new campaign and I don't want to update the game? If a new patch not compatible with my started campaign appears, it could ruin the campaign.

-Can I just download manually a new patch and install it on the Steam Civil War II folder?

You can do the later, and it will work if you uncheck 'don't upgame my game' on Steam. Or you can copy the full game directory to another place and use it for the public beta patch (release candidate 9 for patch 1.05 is released and it is so much better than current official version 1.04)
