I downloading the new 1.4 patch and I can not use the change name function. It doesn't allow me to erase the current name, I didn't have this problem with other verisions.

I am having the same problem. Once you access name change, you can add characters but not remove what is there.

This is, unfortunately, a known problem. Pocus said that he's going to release a 1.5 beta patch to fix this problem relatively quickly.
