The 'Sorry -Critical Error' screen came up.

1. As requested logs attached.

2. The game gives the same error for either 'Load' or resume'. But, I can start another 'New' game/tutorial successfully.

3. The game, playing and saving have not given any such errors in the past

P.S. _ We have restored the game from a previous version. I hope the above helps identify if there is a bug ?

Hello, and welcome to the forums Don77. :wavey:

Using only your .hst file, I can open your game (as the CSA side), and I see that it's early September 1861. I can also open the USA side. I see you are playing with randomized generals.

We will need some more information about this problem. Is this the turn before the problem, or the turn of the problem? Which side were you playing (or both)? Was the problem during turn resolution, of after?

G'day mate,

This was the problem turn. I am playing CSA. The problem came in not being able to load the turn (ie 'resume'). And yes, randomised generals - makes for more realistic uncertainty of the leadership.

Have you tried deleting the CSA order file then?

G'day guys,

I recovered the files from a previous turn, so we are back into the war. Also, it seems my gf switched off my PC the night prior, which would have forced AACW2 to close and probably corrupted the file. Please don't put any more effort into this.

Unless of course you have a patch to stop gf/partners from trying to switch AACW2 off?

There is a solution, but I don't recommend it at all. :mdr:

he he

me neither, but sometimes we all need a patch to explain why 'I can't switch off right now honey, almost done' ends up being at least 60 minutes !
