Possible Issues with Sibley's NM Campaign

Posting here as I have rec'd no feedback in the general forum...

1. Playing through Sibley's NM campaign as the Union vs the AI, I managed to achieve what I thought would be a major victory. I outscored the AI in VPs and NM and captured all objectives (F9) before game end, but I was awarded only a minor victory based upon VPs. Is this WAD?

The scenario description says I need to conquer all of NM. Does this mean I need to capture places like Ft. Lee and Ft. Thorn in order to secure a major victory, even though they are not on the objectives list?

2. Visually, the El Paso region in TX appears to be a single region, but the game engine seems to treat this area as two separate regions. I moved a stack into the El Paso region with an assault posture and ROE set to all-out attack, but, after arrival, it remained in the region for 3 turns w/o attacking Sibley's entrenched stack. Once I dragged and dropped my stack onto Sibley's, combat took place during the resolution phase. Several times I moved my El Paso stack slightly to one side to gain a better view of the territory. When I did, the game engine drew a short movement path (visually it was still within the El Paso region), and it showed a move time of 9 days. I tried this experiment two more times with the same result.

What is important is to achieve your win level in morale, but perhaps it is set too high. So there is no particular location that will give you instant victory and even capturing all objectives might not suffice if you capture them too late or lose battles.

Pocus,

Thanks for the response. I was beginning to feel like I must have had a forum virus :) No one seemed to want to touch my post.

I am still seeing odd behavior with the El Paso region. It appears as a single region on map, but, sometimes, Athena treats it like 2 regions. Any ideas?
