3. Current Date & Main Commands
The current date is displayed here. The tooltip tells you how many turns remain
before the game ends. The three icons to the right of the current date allow
you to start the Resolution Phase, to reach the Main Menu or to Save the game
respectively.

Simply hover the mouse pointer over the date?

The manual is wrong.....
F9 page of the ledger, hold your mouse over the clock at the top left corner of this page, tooltip will say how many turns and how many are left.
