The Nationalists

This faction represents the rebel army, they were called fascist because La Falange(fascists) was on his side.
There are several subfactions in this faction: CTV (italians), Condor Legion (germans), Regulares (moors), Viriatos (Portuguese) and Irish Volunteers, this two last with just one unit.
Apart from subfactions they have different types of combat groups, the regular army, the Army of Africa, La Falange and Requetés (Carlists).

Initally the Nationalist are cut in two and their main goal should be join these two parts (taking Badajoz and Mérida) and took Madrid (not easy). At the beginning of the main campaign they have several units of Requetes, Falange, Regular Army and some leaders, (initially the Republicans has just a few leaders). But the main strengh is the Army of Africa. These troops came from Africa via Options that we have to buy.

At the start of the game we can only form one Army, but at the end of 1936 a message will warn us that we form divisions and we can also make more armies. Use them wisely.
An interesting objective for the Nationalist is the Baque Country, there are some regions producing WS and more important, if we took the three Basque cities they will surrender and get off the game.

Nice unit graphics!

Regarding the War Ministry screen... wouldn't it be better if you changed the color of the texts or the color of the background on the replacement buy section (lower right)
On your screenshot it looks hard to read (black text over nearly black background)

+1 :)
The republican army has not discipline in this early time of war, for example I'd listened General Lister in an old interview that the anarchists columns to Aragon vote the actions to do for the next day, so how do you find this little discipline in the game : cohesion ? leadership of leaders ? force ? a plus or minus for these units ?

The lack of leader for the anarchist is enough to make them worst at combat.

Also it is difficult to combine anarchist and regular Republican units. Basically, the Anarchists are a pain in the butt, useful for defending positions but pretty much handicapped on the offensive. They have a couple of leaders and you can form mixed brigades and divisions with them and get a few into the war. But the core of your army as the Republicans is going to be those Asturian miners, the Basque infantry, the International Brigades (as long as they hang around) and the regular republican militia once you can get them trained up to regular status and formed into brigades.

IIRC, Falange and Carlists were first actual (political) subfaction of franquism.
They did distrust Franco for he had zero charisma and was just a dim general coming from foreign region. So Franco took the lead, often by putting their leaders in jail...

As far as i know it was just a company, never a battalion size unit.

I thought it was a battalion sized unit. Around 500 men.

I would like to say that I have found a mistake in the uniforms of the Requetés.
The right uniform of the andalucian requetés is the clear Brown with necklaces, and the Navarra's requetés is the Green uniform.
