Hi,
It has been a hard work since May 2012 but the game is almost finished. With the help of all maybe we could make it better as time passes.

I want to thank you all the great support i've received all this time to all the people in the forum.

España:1936 will be released with two scenarios and the 3 tutorials.
One covers the entire war (146 turns) and the other is about the campaign of 1937 that finished the Republican North (26 turns).
The game uses one week turns and has been developed under AJE engine (initially under RUS engine) but adapted to the time it covers.
It will be available in english, french and spanish.

Sounds great!
As we know due to RUS that the AGE engine can also cover modern scenarios quite well, I am looking forward to an interesting game

Is this the game Pocus described as Z? Though I still have no clue what he could have meant with that

Did he?
I thought this was LS, who is also doing Espana 1936. Congrats, impressive project!

Nice *Z ideas*!
Prolly he meant the "Z, W, or what the hell Pocus thinks is fun to do as next game" *discussion* here:
http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?25418-Which-topic-for-a-future-AGE-engine-game&p=284589#post284589Apparently that exchange of posts can't be killed easily. Just like any self respecting Zombie.
Sorry for being OT.
Again, congratulation for this one-man project becoming a real game!
Best regards

Congratulations Leibstandarte!

It promises to be a great addition to AGEOD lineup
Now you have to update your forum avatar info! Something like

So this is not yet released? I couldn't find it anywhere.
Looks like a very promising title! I've often thought about how nice it would be to get a computer wargame about this particular conflict, and now here it is!

It is a dream come true : an Ageod's game and the SCW together ! After playing RUS, it was obvious that a game over the Spanish Civil War fitted with Ageod's style but without the great work of
Leibstandarte it had not been possible.

This completely passed me by. I had been wondering why the old mod thread wasn't being updated and then I finally found this subforum

Massive congratulations Leibstandarte, what you pulled off here (at least for a very long time by yourself) is incredibly impressive.

Looks like it will be a beautiful game.
Now I don't know much about the Spanish Civil War.
Will the game teach me about this history, or should I start studying it before starting to play this game?
(I found RUS hard to get into without background information, and I actually haven't managed it yet).

The Manual have a Timeline. There are some flavour events... anyway here there are only two sides. Russian Civil War maybe is more complex.

Leibstandarte wrote:Russian Civil War maybe is more complex.
Sure it should! In the whole RCW time and largest area, 94 sides could be counted (some historian wrote, I don't remember).
I think Spanish CW has about same number of sides than Ukraine theater alone in RCW (14 sides involved here), but SCW was more simple as the sides were mainly allied in 2 big camps (in RCW Ukraine there were almost one camp per side..).
However, the fights (usually political) between allied are very interesting, even in Franco camp (who I think could recover the lead for he appeared
at first not dangerous, and enough neutral to gather all, for the IIRC 4 nationalist spanish sides).
