Anyone know how or why Manassas might have disappeared in this game?

I've reloaded a few times, so it's not something that corrected itself.

Did you have a big nasty battle there? Sometimes structures (to include low level towns) get destroyed in battle.

I don't think any battle occurred there. If there was one, it was just with whatever garrison starts in the town.

Did it dissipear on the turn shown? (E Dec 61) did the regional log messages have any mention?

I don't think it did happen on this turn. It probably was the one before when McClellan moved through Manassas.

I didn't notice until then.

Ya, if there you stormed the structure the is a small chance that structures get destroyed. Pretty rare, but it happens.

So by inadvertently destroying Manassas, you're sayin' McClellan actually accomplished something on a march thru Virginia? :dada:

Ha.

In my games, actually, McClellan takes Richmond every time in 1862 (details in my other thread).
