Running Wine 2.14 emulating Win7 the game works like a charm.

I'm really getting sick of Windows so this is a relief. I really like the ease of using Mint instead. If I have
a crash it's pretty easy to recover anything on the hard drive. I'm also not forced to accept updates. I'm
sure there are others out there who wouldn't mind running Linux but think their games won't work. It
seems that Wine 2.14 works pretty good. I'm going to try it out on some other games soon.

Looks like Fräulein Helga is going to "do" some spanking :siffle:

I suppose as long as the game's system requirements are fairly rudimentary the abstraction layer of Wine will probably have no issues. I wouldn't want to see what happens with games that run heavily on hardware acceleration and DirectX.

I've never tried it with games, but I did try to get my son's PC running Ubuntu IIRC to run a Netgear WiFi card and didn't find it much fun :crying:

Nice to see you getting it to work on Linux. Debian user myself, servers mostly. Still use Windows though.

It did freeze up on me last night when I zoomed out from the map. I might avoid that in the future ;)
My other laptop that runs Win7 has a bottom half of the screen messed up. It wobbles. That's why
I'm happy to get it working on this laptop. I'm too poor for a new computer so I use what I can. I can
play games on the Win7 machine, but its not as easy depending on the vibration rate. I've figured out
it's the on board graphics chip that is causing the problem.
