Is there a way to tone down the current forum background?

The strong white light is wreaking havoc with my eyes.

Someone posted a week or two ago that they were working on it.

LOL and I found that the old forum's 'dark' display was bad for my old eyes

I hope they can get a whole lot of the old functions of the old forum back into place. IIRC with forum software it often a question of cost. Some features simply cost extra in licensing and maintenance contracts, which is how software houses make their money.

I like the orange/red scheme, but the bright white bugs me out.

Hopefully we can get back attachments, a forum without them is.. just bad.

I have Windows 10, so this may only apply to Windows 10 users. From the AGEOD forum I cursor over to the top right hand corner of my screen and click the icon for "More" (three dots). This gets me a menu from which I click "F12 Developer Tools". This opens a window with several options, from which I chose "Debugger". Scrolling down through the program reveals these lines of code:
"
phpBB style name: Hawiki

Based on style: prosilver (this is the default phpBB3 style)

So someone with AGEOD might ask dear Tom Beddard at www.subBlue.com how to tweak the color scheme. If not we could click "DOM Explorer" from the above menu and just play with the color scheme ourselves. It's set to a default of #000000, which I assume is bright white. The brown is #67381e, so I would also assume that as the number increases the color hue darkens.

Good luck!

Here's a thread where it's being discussed. Pocus already asked if that can be restored.
