Bishop Polk stays in the Church?

I'm starting a game as the CSA and am into June, but no Polk. Anyone else had this happen? He's not my favorite so I almost didn't miss him, but anyone with 2 stars and high strategic rating is valuable early-on.

Which start are you using? I have actually never had Polk not appear.

I've never seen that happen in any of my games. You're right, he's very important
early on in the game. I suppose he got "raptured" :)

If you find a pile of empty vestments left behind by the bishop, I'll say go with the "rapture." Not sure how they'll write that into the rules.

You should have him at the start of the Late June '61 turn.

At the end of each turn, the engine actually collects and prepares the events for the coming turn. So after executing the Early June '61 turn, the script logs should show the event which Teatime found, being successfully fired, and at the start of the Late June '61 turn, Polk should be in play.

Thanks to all for the help. I'm sorry I sent out a premature Missing General report, but I'm used to seeing him earlier. I got a message at the start of the early July turn that he was awaiting orders in Memphis.

Great! I guess he was just being a slow-Polk then
