Was there a 3MB Steam update or was that Steam overwriting my quickfix?

Not sure what you mean Emperor, I saw 1.5 advertised on Steam. It linked me to DL it and upgrade.

TheEmperor try Pocus's April 16th

http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?39344-gt-CW2-patch-1-05-available-NOW!-lt

it was pinned at the top...

Also remove your Steam subfolder of CW2 and put it elsewhere. Won't effect the game, copy and paste to have 2 originals in case one goes wonky. You should be fine with the 16th patch and be up to date. Unless I am missing something

My Steam version shows the April 16th patch is active on loadup after the latest steam update.

I had a 3mb Steam update last night, too. Now there seem to be 3 different CW2.exe files:
The original 1.05 with 6,384,128 bytes, the quickfix with 6,389,760 bytes and the new .exe being 6,389,496 bytes large.
Only the last one, the newest file, has a digital signature with a timestamp of Monday, April 27th 2015 16:27:01. I don't know exactly what that means, though . All 3 show the same "CW2 1.05 release (April 16th, 2015)" tag when starting up.
And I don't know if the filesize may be modified by playing the game.

It would be nice if there was some kind of statement which one is considered to be the most recent update.

I'm gonna go with the last one assuming that the timestamp is some kind of "production" or compilation date or whatever it's called.
