Gotta ask this, since I have free weekend.

Any chance CW2 will get updated to 1.05 this weekend? Afterall It´s been a week since a changelog was posted.

This is the last hint I've seen, as to when the official 1.05 patch will come. Sadly I can't see the exact date it has been posted, just "1 Week Ago", but it should be coming any day now. With 90% certainty, of course.

As the one who got that response, I believe that was 8 days ago. May have been 9.

Well, then it must be close...

Sorry about the delay guys, but patch validation was not completed by Friday and as Monday was off in many countries, the patch is still not up. It should be a matter of days now.

All is well then.

I hope I didn't miss a post elsewhere on this--just a query about how 1.05 is coming along, and is there a mention of what might be expected? I'd quite like to see the message fonts larger, or at least the option for that and a non-transparent background. Thanks.

Just kidding, we know it will be here and be great.

Well patches... from experience... it tends to speed up closer to the official release date. All these critical last minute issues appear and you really are keen to include them if you can....

And so I was not to rush or add pressure--take another month if you need it.

I am back after a long time away and here is my take on ACW2:

Other than some relatively minor squiffles about small fonts and the large main pop-up window I wish was not dead center in the map as one plots moves, it all feels very good indeed, all the added on historical chrome and minutae much appreciated (submarines, cotton-clads, battle planner, card options to name but a few), and then of course the gorgeous extended map and artwork by the Italian artist.

and so, once again, I am curious as to what 1.05 has in store. Mea culpa

;)

If you want to know what's going to be in the 1.05 official patch just check the latest RC (Release Candidate): Public Beta Patch 1.05 RC9 (February 27th update)

In the first post Pocus has listed the changes and fixes being implemented.

Did the CW2 got updated just now? Because I had steam running and it started downloading 1.05 patch (23rd march release). Just wondering if it´s a steam loophole or whatnot. Downloaded around 10 mb.

I would be very surprised if. Did you install it?

I believe that you can set Steam to only download anything if you first explicitly allow it. I would suggest you change your settings to that.

Patch has been approved so it is possible that Steam already allows that.

It hasn't downloaded on my Steam, that's for sure. Hopefully not long now until Merlin and I can start our grand AAR against each other.

It downloaded extremely slowly (bytes speed) but exe reads 13.4.2015, and loading screen reads 23rd of March release. I wanted to take screenshot of loading screen, but only got black picture. Either way game runs great for me. And yes I can raze those lvl. 1 cities. Amazing thing.

If you look in '..\CW2\Settings\System.opt' the second line >>GameVersion<< will tell you.. well, what game version you have installed ;)

Is there any difference between 1.05rc09 and 1.05?

There shouldn't be. If there is, it will be very minor.

For those of us not connected to steam, where can I get it? I tried the Forum patches directory and it only has 1.03.

You can get the 1.05 patch directly from the Slitherine site: [15 Apr 2015] Civil War II version 1.0.5 is out!
