I sent a CSA taskforce to engage the USA Ozark; no battle was fought; instead the next turn the Ozark was absorbed into the CAS river fleet; still with a USA icon and also listed as a USA ship in the CSA naval forces list WAD???

Check your messages for the turn. I've captured ships before...in battle. Something may have not registered the battle report.

The flag on the image always notes the nation of origin, like artillery pieces
that get captured. I specifically target towns with fleet in them in hopes of
capture. Mostly it's nothing more than transport ships I catch.

Athena loves building stacks of flatboats.

Annoyingly so. You think you've found a nice juicy ironclad or at least a gunboat
and you get nothing but slow wood rafts or a steamboat.

Flatboats have zero WS cost, so when she runs out of that resource she starts building these ships. She built 18 in one of my games.

I love to see groups of flatboats of the CSA sailing across (or poleing with REALLY long poles) the Gulf of Mexico or up the East Coast
in heavy weather...

I just managed to take Pittsburgh and capture a nice juicy ironclad. Now,
if I can only hold it for 73 more days ;)
