Using Captured Artillery Equipment

I captured a CSA battery of 10lbs Parrots. It's possible for me to use the battery as part of a corps stack; however, I cannot incorporate the battery into an existing division. Why is this?

Yes why, I have the same issue in my game. I captured a USA Art unit that will not join in to a CSA XX.

WAD.
AFAIK, it's the same with captured equipment in all AGE games.

That's weird because a 10lb Parrot is available to both sides or am I mistaken?

They are available to both sides, but can not be added to divisions at this time (this was brought up in the beta testing). They are slightly different, but there is some discussion about adding to divisions.

This is a strange decision AGEod. According to the logic, captured artillery should be added to the formation.

It is not intended decision. Artillery units are from different factions. By default, units from different factions (for example Confederates and Watie Indians, although fighting for the same side, cannot combine into same divisions). If they find time, maybe designers can code an exception for artilleries from different factions handling.

We are trying to improve on that for 1.02

Pocus,
Will there be a beta version of 1.02. Seems to me you have made lots of improvements.

A public beta? Not sure, we have several active betas already internally. We will discuss that though.
