Can the How to start a PBEM game be made into a 'sticky' please

Now see 5 threads on the same subject.

Or is it a cruel initiation test to weed out the less tech savvy by not publicising the instructions?

I do not know about stickies, but here is quickest and most expedient way:

1. Start turn, move, do not advance, save, then go to load menu, select it, and change it's name to what you want.
2. Send the HST and CSA.ord files to your opponent. (Finding the game file either in the User folders or the CW2 game, if in User Folder you may want to remedy).
3. The Union player places these files into his CW2\Saves folder and then loads, and moves and then advances the turn.
4. The Union player then does his next move and saves but without advancing the turn.
5. The Union player then emails the new HST and Union.Ord files to the Rebel player.
6. Rebel player places these files into the appropriate Save file, moves, advances turn, then moves again, saves and sends.

It is not so hard when you get the hang of it; this way each player gets to see the playback every other turn :)

Or: the Developers have an epiphany and realize that the information in the manual about PBEM is incorrect and then program into the game a very simple way of doing this so that those like me and Sorta, who do not have PhD's in computer science from MIT or l'Ecole Polytechnique de Paris can simply play and enjoy.

Sorry for the diatribe, but this game has so much potential, and the documentation is so vague....

'Sticky' is a thread permanently fixed on top of the forum. So as soon as you come to the forum for help you'll see it.

I agree the system works fine once you know how. I'm just suggesting a 'customer help' idea.
