I got a critical error and then downloaded update. I have played several turns. Still can't form divisions and can not load saved games. Please help

Dunno about the critical error... if you downloaded after that a patch... new version could not be compatible with previous versions saved games. About divisions.. nobody cant form division the first few turns , in long campaign till october 1861 iirc, and you cant form corps till march? 1862.

Yeah I saw the post about divisions. However problem is I can't load saves of games started after the update

If you patched and have troubles loading games, then you are probably be better deleting them. You can find the location of the Saves directory in the Options window (main menu).
