Ageod Civil war II is very cool game, but i I played three times as CSA and i think AI is very bad on the western front! Usually, the summer and autumn of 1862 I get a hold of St. Louis and Kentucky. What do you think about this? Excuse me for my bad english...

I think it is a work in process, one thing you can do to help the AI is to threaten St. Louis in 61 and invade Kentucky as soon as you can, it will start to move troops there. :)

I did that and the AI has one army in SW Missouri, one in St. Louis and two in Kentucky.
Im in 63 and going to try to end the war in the summer, hope the AI gives a fight and stops me, I wont complain if that happens.

One thing the AI needs to learn is to use her naval power in rivers and oceans and conduct naval landings.

Are you playing with the default difficulty level? That's for newcomers ;)

I played at Lt difficulty with AI extra time on, AI switched on, activation bonus and normal aggressiveness. I think that the aggressiveness of the AI still too low. I will try to increase the level of complexity and aggressiveness! Besides, what about the naval assault? Why AI does not use them, do not attack the New Orlean (as in the history) or Mobil? Excuse me for my bad english...

AI on this game, like many games, is for learning the engine. Sounds like you are ready to play a human.....

You should not hesitate to play with aggressiveness cranked up one notch, and same for the difficulty level. The AI is definitively not to the level of a good player and is probably not to the level of an average player knowing the game. Now, I still believe that if you accept that this is a silicon opponent with limitations, then you should have dozens of hours of fun against it, if you raise difficulty level. Yes, this probably means compensating quality with quantity, but you will still get great enjoyment from that. Know that the AI don't have any combat advantages though.
